"On the slope of the valley of the Beautiful Sword River near the village of Kozye in the Tula region stands the Horse-Stone, resembling a horse's head. Until the 20th century, ritual plowing around the megalith was performed once a year to prevent the death of livestock and ward off disease from animals. There is an opinion that this is some kind of ancient compass. The groove on the stone indicates the sunrise point on the winter solstice."
